Diesel Technician/Diesel Mechanic

T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment is a family-owned & operated business specializing in equipment such as trailers, truck equipment & snow removal equipment.   We maintain a service & repair facility on-site for commercial, fleet & independently-owned equipment.

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, dedicated team player, that is certified as a Class B/C Diesel Technician to join our team!

Hours are:

7:00AM – 5:00PM (Monday – Thursday)

and

7:00AM – 4:00PM (Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Capable of performing all routine and preventative maintenance on Gas & DIESEL trucks, mobile equipment & snow/ice equipment, including but not limited to, identifying problems & finding solutions on scheduled equipment repairs
  • Must also be capable of performing PA STATE INSPECTIONS, Computer diagnostics, as well as diagnosing mechanical & electrical systems; repair/replace parts used or required
  • Intermediate Diagnostic skills & Mechanical knowledge are required
  • Experience with air brake & electrical systems repair; hydraulic systems a plus!
  • Abide by company & quality workmanship standards; maintain safe work area; positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred
  • Appropriate Mechanics Toolbox with necessary tools for the job
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed

Welder-Fabricator-Installer

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, dedicated team-player, to join our team!

Hours are:

7:00AM – 5:00PM (Monday – Thursday)

and

7:00AM – 4:00PM (Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • MIG, PLASMA & TORCH Welding
  • Intermediate Truck Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Electric System knowledge are required
  • Experience mounting dump bodies, service bodies, cranes, and snow/ice removal equipment
  • Ability to comprehend and read schematics and engineering blueprints/drawings
  • Fabrication and Layout
  • Operating a forklift and overhead crane
  • Abide by company and quality workmanship standards; maintain safe work area; positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2+ Years’ Experience working with metal forming equipment
  • Appropriate Fabricators’ Toolbox with necessary Welding tools for the job
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
